On this past Saturday night, me and my mom went to see draw 12 at 7:00 pm at the Hershey Center in Mississauga. On the way there, we got sort of lost because I confused Dixon Rd. with Dixie Rd. Not the best navigation skills of me, but we managed to get there on time though. We unknowingly went through the media entrance, and the guy let us through to go get tickets. Fortunately, it was past the boundary where we didn't need tickets anymore. We sat down in section 6, right next to the sheet Bingyu Wang and her Chinese teammates where playing Eve Muirhead. I felt really uneasy, so my mom got one ticket for me. We sat down and watched that game and the other three games: Gushue vs Koe, Lawton vs Keibrink, Howard vs Ulsrud. Some of the action above. Even better: during the middle of the draw, my mom pulled me out to buy some gifts and a new brush! That was really awesome. I wanted to get one for a long time.
Soon as the Wang game was over, my mom and I "hurried hard" over to the other side of the arena to talk to the coaches of team Wang. They told us to go back, and they were going to go up to concourse level to personally meet the entire team! I was very excited.
Bingyu Wang was very nice and polite. I asked her random questions, and got to take pictures with everyone. It was unbelievably amazing to meet the reigning world champions. They had to leave, but not before getting cards of the coaches. A dream come true: contact with the national Chinese curling team!
Of course, me and the national chinese coach started talking about mundane things like where the chinese were practicing, how the ice was, and a bunch of other things. Gushue was my next goal. They had just lost their game, but I wanted to get a photo
